Rationale

Teacher professional development workshop plan under the initiatives of Saudi-Government and the Vision 2030 plan and its impact on the teacher’s development and overall economic uplift. A strong educational model promises a steady growth of the country. The need to arrange certain workshops for training teachers are the core of this research where methods would be advised to enhance the capabilities of the teachers in the education model by efficient workshops.

The Saudi-Educational Development Initiatives are launched by the Government to empower the education system of the country. The Saudi Government forecasts a great enhancement in the overall progression of country by empowering education model and contribution by the education in the financial progression of the country.

The improvements in the teachers and their proper training is the cause of educational model uplift. The target audience for this research are the teachers and the students who will face a positive change by the inclusion of various workshops arranged by the Saudi Government to enhance the model of teaching and to train the teachers accordingly for continuing the process of education and maximizing the output yielded by the education sector. The Vision 2030 of Saudi Arabia focuses on establishment and building of new universities in the country to enhance the process of education and to improve the knowledge of the students with the help of trained teachers and staff members.

Background and Context

The resources used while conducting this research are target audience, workshops and initiatives of the Saudi Government to empower the structure of education. The data about the effectivity of the educational efforts of the teachers is collected from the students of various schools around Saudi Arabia and the teachers also participated in the process by giving adequate feedback to the Governmental Bodies to shape the Educational Model. The interviews would be conducted throughout the research to know the feedback of the teachers and the impact of workshops on the teacher’s training. The teachers would be observed on the change in their style before and after the training workshop. Teachers would also be investigated for their affiliation with their profession and the sincerity to their profession for making the education system effective and fruitful. The list of primary, middle and high schools in Saudi Arabia were summed up and their distinctive features were considered for the scope of this research. Parents would also be guided to show interest in the progress of their child’s learning process by focusing on home learning methods to enhance the mental upbringing of their child. The Gap between teachers and students would be lessened with the help of interactive sessions between students and teachers to promote a friendly environment for learning ("Executive Summary | Education in Saudi Arabia | OECD iLibrary", 2021).

Fig 1:  Background of Education Sector in KSA

The figure above provides the total number of schools present in Saudi Arabia and the average number of students per system of school. There are total 38,000 schools in Saudi Arabia out of which 3000 schools belong to remote areas that have less than 100 students per school in the remote areas (Rabaah et al., 2016).

Goals and Objectives

The goal of this research is to highlight the positive impacts of training workshops on the enhanced capabilities of the teachers. The educational reforms and the increase in the number of schools and quality education are promised by the 2030 educational vision of Saudi Arabia. The initiatives took by the Saudi Government and their impact on the system of education country wide would be focused in this research and way forwards would be provided to cope the future researches in this field. The goal of this research is to observe and make the teaching model effective by introducing effective strategies to empower the structure of education in Saudi Arabia and to see its positive impact on the future of the Nation ("An education that contributes to economic growth | Saudi Vision 2030", 2021).

Session Activities

Introduction – 20 minutes

I would start with introducing myself and after that I would come to the explanation of topic and the research I have done so far regarding the subject matter. The inclusion of research material in my work to gather initial findings and data would be considered in the research. The work of other authors and the primary data fetched from other sources would be shared with the audience to provide them a glimpse of subject matter and what am I going to explain them in my research topic. I would use the strategy of introducing an icebreaker to my audience where I would give them an option to spin a wheel and try their luck to wait for the perfect strategy that should be adopted to polish the teachers. The wheel would be composed of age group of the teachers, their experience and their subject expertise along with the regional allocations of these teachers. The wheel would have hidden boxes side each name of the teacher, these boxes would include the experience of the teacher and her expertise along with her area of subject in the schools.

Single Partition of the wheel to the complex concept explained to be practiced by the audience to make the session more effective and attractive for the participants.

I would gain the interest of the audience by using the technique of effective questioning (Daniel, 2018). The questions are as following:

·         Is Primary Education free in Saudi Arabia?

·         The Co-Education Exists in Saudi Arabia or not?

·         Are the students satisfied with Current Educational Model?

·         What could be the necessary changes done in order to enhance the level of teaching in Saudi Schools?

·         Does training sessions have an impact on the personal development of teachers?

Further Explanation

As the introductory session ends, I would come to the explanation of the slides that I have included in my research to make my research authentic and enhance the learning of audience. The audience are included as an active member of the presentation. I would focus on the following points during my presentation:

·         I would try to remain calm, but my energy level will be up to the mark to make the presentation powerful.

·         I would remain focused to the subject matter of the presentation and would try to communicate the best I can.

·         I must allow the audience to participate as active members in my presentation.

·         I would provide logical explanation to each of the question asked by the audience.

Conclusion and Question/Answer

After the successful session of the workshop I would ask the participants to share their value feedback in a written format with me that what are their recommendations to the existing system of education in Saudi Arabia. Comments would be accepted on the role of technology in shaping the method of education and enhanced learning. The teachers in the audience would be encouraged to share their thoughts (Doyle, 2019). The possible hurdles in the way of learning in Saudi Arabia and the positive impacts of Vision 2030 on the enhancement of existing educational model would be considered throughout the scope of this research. I would collect the feedback from the audience judge the effectivity of the session (Mitchell & Alfuraih, 2018).

Next Step

I would work in order to conduct more sessions in future and will try to make them as effective as possible by adding the initiatives taken by the Saudi Government to empower their youth with the modern technology. Subjects like artificial intelligence and use of IT infrastructure to empower the existing model of education and to make it more effective in future would be advised in the next sessions. The positive impact of Information Technology and its role in making the learning easier and more effective would be considered in the next sessions. Open audience participation would be encouraged in order to take the valuable feedback of the participants about my training sessions. The opinion of audience would be welcomed to make necessary changes in the next sessions.
